"Hills Like White Elephants"
What is the couple arguing about in the story? What specific lines best illustrate their positions in this argument in the first half of the story? In the second half?
The couple is arguing about if they should get an abortion or not. The man says, "We'll be fine afterward. Just like we were before." This comments makes it seem like the man does not want the women to have the child. the girl says, "And once they take it away, you never get it back." This comment shows how the girl is confused and doesnt know what she wants to do. In the scond half of the story they both agree that getting an abortion is the right thing to do.

"Girl"
What does the primary speaker believe about the world, and women in general?
I think the primary speaker believes that the world thinks as women as hard working house keepers. She thinks that women need to know many responsibilities in and out of the house.
