A Cold Coming

This story talks about the soliders freezing there sperm so that they can leave a legacy ehind if they die. It tells you how the Iraqi solider feels and how he wants forgivness. It talks about the bad things he has done under Saddam. This story was alright it showed you some different views of how the soliders react.

I thought it was interesting that you found that the Iraqi soldier was wishing for forgiveness. I took a different stance and thought he was just being bitter about how he had less of a chance to survive than the Americans, but your view is much more positive and gave me a different perspective.

I also did not see the soldier asking for forgiveness. It does make the soldier appear in a different light. I thought he appeared helpless. Your interpretation makes me feel more empathy for the soldier rather than pity.

I thought that your interpretation of te iraqi soldier asking for forgivnness was interesting. I didn't see that in the story but i did think that the iraqi soldier was envious of the US soldier and also wanted to freeze his sperm so his wife would be able t have children

Maybe I am missing the big picture when I read this story. I did not know that this poem was about soldiers freezing their sperm banks.
